hyatt regency suites palm springs
In 2010 the Hyatt Regency Suites Palm Springs completed a $15 million renovation. If you have stayed at this all-suites downtown hotel in the past, you will notice that the rooms, lobby, pool area and all the common areas have been completely upgraded. Even the restaurant and bar have a new name, SHARE, a new chef and staff.
The 194 rooms are spacious (600 square feet) as each suite has a living room with a sofa sleeper with a pull out bed, a sizeable marble bathroom and bedroom. Each suite also has two 42” LCD flat paneled TVs, a refrigerator, coffee maker, robes, morning newspaper delivery service & a large, private balcony with a view. iHome stereo with iPod dock and wireless Internet access is there too.
Be sure and save time for the 24-hour Stay Fit gym, walking & jogging trails, the poolside cabanas alongside their heated outdoors swimming pool and Jacuzzi hot tub.
The Hyatt offers both valet parking and underground parking and complimentary shuttle to and from the Palm Springs airport.
The Hyatt has made changes to their pet policy. All breeds and sizes of dog are now accepted in their guest suites. And they now have a partnership with Fresh Fetch, a local provider of home-cooked and veterinarian recommended meals. There is a pet fee of $25 per night.
The hotel’s restaurant, SHARE Small Plate Bistro, serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Sous Chef Holly Ugalde offers a brand new California-fusion dining destination. The restaurant blends warm tones and relaxing vibes and Holly offers a large selection of small plates intended for sharing and a roster of more than forty wines by the glass at dinnertime. A few of the dinner appetizers are Hummus, Feta Cheese, Preserved Lemon, Nicoise Olives, Flatbread and Chilled Vegetables; Grilled Artichoke with /Green Goddess Dipping Sauce; and Mongolian Barbecue Sticky Ribs on Sweet Potato Strings. Entrée choices include Maple Smoked Wild Salmon with Red Swiss Chard and Roasted Vegetables; Maine Lobster Ravioli with Melted Leek Cream; and Braised Beef Rib with Cipollini Onions, Winter Vegetables and Hand Cut Egg Noodles.
There is also a new SHARE Wine Lounge Menu for those who need a little nourishment while in the bar. And the special drinks here are fun. Think various flavors of Mojoito, such as Mango, Pineapple, Pomegranate and Blueberry. Martinis include the Pink Cadillac, Platinum Cadillac, Skinny and Blood Orange Margaritas. And the Martini list goes on and on.
And if you are around on the weekend, don’t miss the Breakfast Buffet.
The hotel hosts many meetings, weddings and other events. Their full-service event staff has hosted hundreds of galas, corporate conventions, weddings and parties. They have the experience and knowledge that it takes to make your event a success and there is an onsite event manager, to guarantee the flawless execution of your meeting or party.
From your private balcony you can take in gorgeous views of the San Jacinto Mountains, downtown or the Hyatt grounds. Enjoy a dip in the pool, perfect your swing on the putting green across the street, or sip cocktails in SHARE Wine Lounge, the brand new lobby bar.
If you leave the hotel to dine, there are many choices within walking distance or very close by car. A few suggestions are: Le Vallauris, Zin American Bistro, Zin Café Med, Sherman’s Deli & Bakery, Matchbox Vintage Pizza Bistro and Pomme Frite.
If you want a central downtown setting, you'll find fun shopping, trendy entertainment, a myriad of dining options and plenty of attractions close at hand. The Hyatt is the perfect hotel in Palm Springs for families, couples and groups, alike.
