Anne (anne@annesemmes) is a freelance food and travel writer based in London. Before moving to England, she was for 15 years restaurant reviewer for The New York Times New Jersey section. She has been covering the vibrant dining scene in England since 1996. Her articles have appeared in Attaché, Food Arts, Food & Wine, Saveur and Victoria. Anne was U.K. Content Editor of Menus.com, an online restaurant directory, and is the London correspondent for Passport Newsletter. She was the first food editor of Glamour. A member of the International Association of Culinary Professionals, she was formerly a board member of the New York Association of Cooking Teachers. She studied cooking at Cordon Bleu and Leith’s in London, and at the Thai Cooking School at The Oriental in Bangkok.
