Chocolate Chip Balls
 Makes 4 dozen 
6 oz. or ¾ cup butter, softened
 1/2 cup sugar
 1 tsp. vanilla
 1 egg
 2 cups flour
½ tsp. salt
 1 cup pecans, chopped 
 6 oz. or ¾ cups mini chocolate chips
½ cup granulated sugar (for rolling)
 
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cream butter and sugar in a stand mixer. Add the remaining ingredients, one at a time.
Shape the ingredients into small balls in the palm of your hands and bake on a cookie sheet for about 12-15 minutes until the cookies are slightly brown on the bottom and white on top.
Remove from the oven and immediately roll warm cookies in sugar, using tongs. 
 Place on a rack to cool.
Store in an airtight container.
