The Nob Hill Lambourne positions itself as San Francisco's first high-tech bed and breakfast spa hotel. Each suite has a well-stocked kitchenette, television, and stereo, and an office area within each suite features an IBM computer (no printer or modem), fax machine with direct telephone number, telephone with two lines and voice mail, stapler, paper clips, and legal pad. The bedroom features exercise equipment such as a rowing machine, bicycle or treadmill. The bathroom is large and comfortable and features a stereo speaker, two soft terry bathrobes, hair dryer, coffee maker, and a nice assortment of aromatherapy cosmetics which can also be purchased.

The kitchenette features a microwave, two stove-top burners, refrigerator, basic dishes, cups, glasses, etc.. There is a nice assortment of nuts, candies, and other snacks. The refrigerator and snack basket are stocked with high-quality wines such as Beautour Cabernet Sauvignon from BV Napa Valley, Concannon Vineyard Central Coast Chardonnay, and Piper Sonoma Brut Champagne. There is also Jamaican Ginger Beer, Reed's Spiced Apple Brew, and Pete's Wicked Ale.

There is a VCR in either the living room or bedroom and the hotel owns a special collection of San Francisco movies, including "Birdman of Alcatraz" with Burt Lancaster and "48 Hours" with Nick Nolte and Eddie Murphy, which guests may borrow. There is also a collection of wellness videos.

Off the lobby is a spa services room where guests can enjoy massage therapy. The hotel features a variety of special natural remedies for guests such as the "Exhaustion/Jet Lag Recovery Package." It includes Siberian Ginseng which, the hotel says, enhances vitality and Exhaustion Relief, a homeopathic medicine with American Ginseng, Alfalfa, and Peruvian Bark. There is also Emergen-C, an effervescent Vitamin C drink mix which is naturally stimulating. Treatment packages are also available for colds, sleeping problems, gas, diarrhea, and constipation. Hotel guests also have access to the Nob Hill Club at 950 California where a pool, steam room, sauna, free weights, and related exercise programs and services are available.

The hotel is within easy walking distance of San Francisco's financial district and the Union Square shopping district. It is across the street from the large and elegant Ritz Carlton Hotel.
