Recipes from Jamie Purviance's Cookbook

 Weber's Big Book of Burgers

Jamie Purviance is one of America's top grilling experts and Weber's master griller. Since graduating from Stanford University and Culinary Institute of America, he has written more than a dozen cookbooks and has appeared on countless television shows, including Today, CBS This Morning, and Good Morning America.

He never really intended to be a chef or a cookbook author. Hi first "real" job after college was teaching junior high school kids in San Francisco and later in Jakarta, Indonesia. He traces his slow-burning obsession with grilling to his days in Indonesia and other parts of Southeast Asia where the art and practice of outdoor cooking is deeply embedded in ancient cultures. The tastes and techniques he saw firsthand were fascinating to him, partly because they were so different from what he saw as a kid growing up in suburban New Jersey. In the early 1990s he decided to break away from being a schoolteacher so he could become a student again, this time at the Culinary Institute of America. He graduated from that school with high honors and began writing about grilling almost immediately.

A few of his recent books include "Weber's Way to Grill" (a James Beard Award finalist), "Weber's Smoke," and "Weber's New Real Grilling" --- all New York Times best sellers. His very latest book is "Weber's Big Book of Burgers." You can find Jamie online at: facebook.com/chefjamiepurviance

Northern African Cuisine is quite unique and delicious, and nothing like cooking it in an authentic clay Tagine from Morocco. Ancient Cookware now offer a variety of Tagines, both glazed and unglazed. Although hard to get, the unglazed Tagines are normally preferred because they hold so much of the flavor.

Camping is simply not camping if you don't end the night with a gooey, warm and satisfyingly sweet s'more. The first Non-GMO Verified marshmallows on the market, Dandies are produced in the company's dedicated facility, which is free of dairy, eggs, peanuts and tree-nuts. In addition, Dandies marshmallows are free of artificial ingredients and high fructose corn syrup and do not contain any wheat, corn or soy. The best part is, these vegan marshmallows taste far better than your garden variety grocery store marshmallows and are perfect for roasting over a fire. Dandies are air puffed, which gives them the traditional light and fluffy texture and flavor that melts and tastes just like the marshmallows we grew up with. SRP: $5.29 for 10 oz. package.
