 During this last month of summer think about making food prep easy and fun. Preparing food on a stick is just that! Whether you are looking for breakfast, appetizers, or desserts,
food on a stick can come on skewers including bamboo, toothpicks, straight pretzels, metal, wire, popsicle sticks and lemongrass. Enjoy a few of the recipes to the left.
Breakfast items include: donut holes and fresh fruit; small pieces of French toast with blueberries and strawberries;
miniature cinnamon rolls and small pieces of waffles.Appetizers include grilled cheese and cherry tomatoes; bacon-wrapped scallops; salmon cubes with cucumbers, cherry tomatoes and yellow peppers; mini pizzas; chicken sate with peanut sauce; small meat balls; bite-sized burgers with cheddar cheese, bacon, lettuce, cherry tomatoes and a small bun at each end; and small pieces of corn on the cob.
Desserts include toffee apples; macaroon cookies in various colors; marshmallows dipped in melted chocolate and rolled in crushed nuts and cake pops.
