August is filled with the Summer Olympics and the End of Summer.

olympic_party_platterRejoice and cheer on Team USA by hosting a "Go for the Gold Party." You might celebrate your favorite event or the closing ceremonies on August 12th.  Decorate in red, white and blue. A few olympic theme decorations are small flags from the different participating countries, torches, rings flags and three colors of medals: gold, silver and bronze. Go international with your menu.  To help you get started we have listed some of our favorite recipes on the left.

Let the games continue!

Enjoy the ending days of summer and be sure and check out the coupon from SFTravel.com at the very bottom of this eNewsletter.

The London NYC Celebrates the London 2012 Summer Olympics

london_nyc_cocktail The London Bar in New York City is offering specialty cocktails while Gordon Ramsay at The London NYC hotel is preparing food options fit for an Olympic athlete.  The Summer Olympic Games will be cause for parties and celebrations across London.  Save yourself the time, expense, and hassle of traveling across the pond, and instead, join The London Bar until August 12th at The London NYC to celebrate the games close to home.  After all, who knows how to celebrate better than New York?  You'll be treated to new Specialty Cocktails, Afternoon Tea, Room Service and MAZE Breakfast (MAZE by Gordon Ramsay offers a less formal and lively surrounding from which to enjoy the sophisticated cuisine from this accomplished culinary team) and Fitness Breakfast Special. For information, click here.

Samba Tea Vacuum Jug

samba_tea Make hot tea blended with fruit, berries or flower petals in the colorful Samba Jug. Its classy round tea shape, the six fresh color shades of red, orange, light green, dark brown and black and a handy aroma strainer make it a real "feel good" vacuum jug. This jug comes complete with its own built-in aroma strainer integrated inside the pot for brewing loose-leaf tea the quick and easy way. Unlike many other strainers, it reaches right down to the bottom of the vacuum jug, to allow the aroma to unfold. The chubby, 100 per cent airtight pot will keep your beverage hot for several hours. Dave's Gourmet

daves_presidential The Presidential election is upon us and Dave's Gourmet wants to see if a hot sauce can predict the outcome.  They are selling two sauces: the Barack Obama Adjustable Origin Hot Sauce and the Mitt Romney Adjustable Opinion Hot Sauce (profits go to Cancer research).  Every bottle sold is a vote for that candidate and there is a tracking poll on Dave's Gourmet's website at www.davesgourmet.com.

Chocolate Tea Store

cacao_tea Two of my passions are chocolate and tea. If you feel the same, you might want to check out this website called the Chocolate Tea Store. They sell many brands of chocolate tea, electric kettles, gourmet tea gifts, and gourmet chocolate gifts. They also have an "I Love Chocolate Blog." For information, click here.

Zoku Quick Pop Maker

zoku_margarita_pops Proving that ice pops are not just for kids, these refreshing Cucumber Mint Margarita Pops flavored with zesty lime can be made in minutes - with or without tequila - with the Zoku Quick Pop Maker which freezes pops in as little as seven minutes, without electricity. More recipes on the Zoku Blog.
