Overview: Tu-Sa 7:30am-midnight; Su 7:30am-11pm

Ground central for Mediterranean cuisine for 15 years and frequented by hipsters and the well-heeled. When Zuni opened on this desolate stretch of Market Street only artists and the gay community embraced it. Now it draws patrons from all over the city and tourists as well. The look is nouveau New Mexico, echoing its opening menu which had Southwestern flavors. Today the Mediterranean is the focus, as well as a great wines by the glass program and great champagnes by the glass. The oysters (many choices) are the best around, the roast chicken for two is luscious and the burger, only served after 10p.m., is the best in the city. Don't miss the pastas or the pizzas. Reservations recommended.
