One Market is the second successful effort of celebrity chef Bradley Ogden, whose Lark Creek Inn in Marin County is among Marin's top restaurants. One Market's menu has become international in scope. And a re-do of the cavernous room in warmer colors has helped to make the space more attractive. Look for trout wrapped in in a potato crust with a tender grilled baby chicken on creamy polenta and a saffron-infused fish bouillon for striped bass and assorted shellfish. Desserts are not an afterthought here but play center stage with the rest of the food. Show stoppers are not only the thin crust flaky fruit pies but also the chocolate layer cake and the creme caramel.
The wine list has 500 American wines -- enough choices to whet the appetite of a wine amateur or aficionado. And don't forget the "best seat in the house," the kitchen chef's table that seats 4-7. For $60.00 per person a 5 course tasting menu will be prepared by the chef.
