New Delhi has been serving North Indian cuisine for 15 years. A recent retrofit caused them to close but they are once again open. This historic building was constructed in the true taste and tradition of San Francisco in 1914, a grand Louis XVI style. They are within walking distance of major downtown hotels and Union Square. Chef/owner Ranjan Dey certainly knows his spices as he also owns a spice business called New World Spices. Menu items include tandoori specialities, a variety of nan and other leavened soft breads baked in the tandoor, curries and historical highlights including Murg Akbari and Kofta Shah.
