Ida Ayu Agung Mas
PO Box 3574 Denpasar 8001
If you're after cooking lessons in paradise, Bali is your place. But first you have to get out of Denpasar and the beaches packed with tourists as quickly as you can and head for the artists' town of Ubud where Ibu Mas will give you as many lessons as you care to take. She can either arrange to put you up in one of her guest cottages or you can stay in a nearby hotel. I've lived in Bali and believe me you don't need air conditioning. Little cottages on the rice paddies, mosquito nets at night, flowers and fruits everywhere and a fine cook teaching you the intricacies of her cuisine. Go for it.
